Best Buy’s Store within Store failed again
Best Buy welcomed Samsung to its store, hoping to increase profits by providing what the customers want. However, it seems like Best Buy was not trying hard enough, or simply went to the wrong path.
Said in the article, “Samsung “stores within stores” are probably a decent idea, and not too far afield. Done with meticulous testing and with real heed to what shoppers actually want, it can help. But it won’t save BBY from the gorgon’s head of nasties that beset BBY: digitized distribution of media content, the decline of the PC, and online shopping.”
So maybe, instead of catering to what the customers want, Best Buy and other retailers should focus more on what the customer will want.
